Greenhouse in Agriculture Communications, Extension and Evaluation
Overall GIA Project Aims:
- Develop technological solutions, management strategies and farming systems for the abatement of
enteric methane and nitrous oxide from grain cropping and grazed pastures, while further improving production efficiency;
- To develop more accurate emission profiles and reduce uncertainty associated with greenhouse gas accounting from agriculture in Victoria;
- Develop a greater understanding of the attitudes and needs of grazing and grain farmers with regard to greenhouse emissions, likely barriers to adoption and most effective pathways for dissemination and integration of project outputs.
- To identify critical gaps in knowledge requiring further research, and develop research proposals accordingly.
Specific Activities:
- Facilitate communication between Research,
Industry and Policy.
- On-Line and Email Newsletter
- Coordination of Communications
- Project Evaluation
